The NOVA ALTA project was born from the desire to re-propose today what was one of the fundamental instrumental ensembles in the sacred and profane musical performance of the late Renaissance and Baroque periods. The "Concerto" by Ottoni guarantees a sonic and timbre ductility that has no equal in families; emblematic case is the San Marco Church Musical Chapel in Venice. The name of the ensemble NOVA ALTA refers precisely to the term ALTA CAPPELLA which indicated instruments with "high" sounds, strong and sonorous, reaching towards the sky, but which also finds in the Sackbut and in the Cornetto the possibility to create soft harmonies that accompany the listener in a deep and calm introspection.
