BAROCCO ELETTRONICO

Vespro della Beata Vergine
Concept, direction and performance Elena Rivoltini
lights Andrea Sanson
sound project Claudio Tortorici

Electronic Baroque is a project curated by the creator and performer Elena Rivoltini, combining antique music and electronic music. The artist has created, in occasion of Monteverdi Festival 2022, a reinterpretation in electronic key of the “Vespro della Beata Vergine”, for the Stradivari Institute Chapel in Cremona, a mix of concert, sound installation and specific performance site.
Taking inspiration from the “Lucernarium”, a particular light liturgy that originally preceded the singing of Vespers, the Chapel will host a bright dramaturgy by the light designer Andrea Sanson.
The public, dipped in a quadriphony, will have the chance to listen to the sound spatialization created by the sound designer Claudio Tortorici and live a synesthaetic experience where voice, sound and light interact with each other.
