The project CremonaCantaOrfeo brings together all the musical forces in town, both professionals and amateurs, teachers and students of the classical and jazz repertoire, involving them in the concert version of the Orfeo by Monteverdi, reread by Gabrio Taglietti. ‘Traditional’ instruments such as violins and cellos are involved in the performance along with saxophones, percussions and synthesizers, backing away from a philological execution. It is a ‘different’ performance based on the idea of ‘accessibile’ culture, that is to say not only for specialists, and all the town will celebrate its illustrious fellow citizen.
