The “Vespro della Beata Vergine” by Claudio Monteverdi, can be considered a milestone of the western music: arrival point of a long and honoured Renaissance sacred polyphonic tradition and starting point for the new concerted style, base of the great masterpieces in the next centuries. The listening and live sharing experience of this musical monument is certainly one of the most interesting and emotionally involving to offer to such a varied audience. The concert is the result of the collaboration with the City of Mantova and the Foundation Umberto Artioli – Mantova – European Capitol of the Entertainment. The Vesper will be replicated on June 20th, in the city where Monteverdi mostly worked in his artistic life, and it aims to join Cremona and Mantova in an artistic and cultural partnership in the name of the local composer.

Tickets for the concert in Mantua (30 euros, reduced 26; reduced students 12 euros) are available at the ticket office of the Teatro Sociale (Tuesday 10-13, Thursday 16-19, Saturday 10-13). Tickets can be purchased also on ticketone.it.
