The Fondazione Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli of Cremona organizes, as part of the Monteverdi Festival 2024, an ancient music residency, with the aim of deepening the Italian 16th and 17th century repertoire with particular reference to the figure of Claudio Monteverdi, according to a historically informed pratica.

The workshop is aimed to instrumental and vocal, or just vocal, groups composed of young musicians aged between 18 and 40, open to all Italian EU or non-EU citizens; the average age of the group must not exceed 30 years.

During the workshop, there will be moments of theoretical reflection on the treatises of the time, elements of organology, continuous bass and musical philology.
